WELCOME

Welcome to the Inagaki Laboratory
Department of Metabolic Epigenetics, Institute for Molecular and Cellular Regulation, Gunma University

Our laboratory aims to understand the mechanisms underlying lifestyle-related diseases such as obesity and type 2 diabetes.

How do external environments and lifestyle factors influence our organs? And how are genes regulated within cells in response to these changes? We are investigating these fundamental questions to uncover how our bodies adapt—or fail to adapt—to environmental challenges.

Our research focuses on transcriptional regulators and epigenomic mechanisms, exploring how lifestyle and environmental factors shape our susceptibility or resistance to metabolic diseases. Through this, we aim to clarify why some individuals are more prone to illness while others remain resilient.

2. Takasaki Station → Maebashi Station (via Ryomo Line only — take trains bound for Maebashi, Isesaki, Kiryu, or Oyama)
OR
Takasaki Station → Shin-Maebashi Station (via Joetsu Line or Ryomo Line)

From Maebashi Station (by Bus) Take a Bus from North Exit, Platform No. 2. (PASMO, Suica, and Nolbe IC cards are accepted. Board at the rear, exit from the front.)
